Tai Chi Massage Broom
This little tool can help reduce sore muscles. It's called a Tai Chi Massage Broom. The purpose of the broom is to help increase your circulation by tapping the rods over the muscles of your body. This increases blood circulation by bringing it to the surface of the skin so as to flush out toxins and lactic acid build up in your sore, achy muscles. There is also a therapeutic feeling with the tapping of the bamboo rods as they vibrate against you. It is believed to help increase your Qi energy for overall health and vitality.
Even though Tai Chi can look easy, simple and relaxed, you will likely use muscles that you didn't know you had. Tai chi is one of the most sophisticated methods of integrating whole-body movement. It develops gross and subtle physical coordination. In the beginning, before you really learn to relax and soften your body, the habit of storing tension in your legs and shoulders may make you sore the next day.
These brooms are handmade by Ron Leach and Vashon Borich-Leach. The handles are hand-turned, carved, stained and finished by Ron. The 108 bamboo rods are carefully cut and individually counted before being glued into the handles by Vashon.
Each Tai Chi Massage Broom is approximately 21 inches long.
Handles are made of pine wood with a diameter of approximately 1.25' to 1.5"
Broom rods are bamboo and are individually a little larger in diameter than a spaghetti strand.
Due to the nature of the wood and the supplier of the bamboo, colors may vary to a lighter or darker shade.
As these are handmade items, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
