Branson Karate & Tai Chi Current Health Protocols
Updated: March 1, 2022
We want to continue to have in-person learning at our martial arts school. To do that, we follow the current recommended CDC guidelines. Review those here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html

Covid Exposure & Contraction Guidelines
It is NOT a requirement by Branson Karate for students to be vaccinated to attend classes, nor will we check vaccination cards. However, we do highly recommend that everyone, 5 years and older, get their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines, and receive a booster dose when eligible based on CDC recommendations.
School diligence
- We request that all students, staff and visitors to stay home when they have any symptoms of an infectious illness, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19.
- We will continue performing temp checks and health screenings before every class.
- To prevent overcrowding in dressing rooms, we ask that no more than 3 students go in at a time. Students may also continue to arrive dressed in uniform, however, we ask that they remove their Gi top and belt before going into any stores, restaurants or other places of business. (Wear a T-shirt underneath your Gi top so that you can do this.)
- We utilize two, air ventilation and filtration systems. We promote handwashing & sanitation. We perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of all floors and common use surfaces.
- Effective March 1, 2022, Branson Karate no longer requires students to wear face masks regardless of their vaccination status. Students may choose to continue wearing masks based on personal preference or level of risk. Mask wearing is still recommended if you are immunocompromised or have social contact with someone at high risk.
*Should the Taney County infection rate move into the high range, we reserve the right to reinstate mask wearing in our dojo.
Check current risk level here.
Covid Exposure & Contraction Guidelines
- For NON-Vaccinated individuals that are exposed: Stay home and away from other people for a minimum of 5 days before returning to classes. NOTE: The date of your exposure is considered day 0. Day 1 is the first full day after your last contact with a person who has had COVID-19.
- For fully vaccinated individuals that are exposed: You do not need to stay home unless you develop symptoms. However, you MUST wear a well-fitted mask for 10 full days after exposure any time you are inside Branson Karate school or around others. If you develop ANY symptoms isolate immediately and get tested.
- IF YOU Tested positive for COVID-19, currently have symptoms or have someone in your immediate household who tested positive or has symptoms: Stay home for 5 days and isolate from others in your home, regardless of vaccination status. Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home.
- For all individuals that travel: You may return to class immediately following your travel. However, we ask that you monitor yourself for symptoms. If you travel OUTSIDE the USA, we recommend you self-quarantine for 5 days before returning to class.
